David
Ward
The art of David Ward features scenes of uncanny realism and detail. A much travelled artist, he has lived and worked in Mexico and has done research in Southwest Africa, England and Guatemala. His extensive travelling has led to a treasure trove of paintings which now hang in private and corporate collections all over the world. A native of Yorkshire, England, Ward immigrated to Canada in 1977. He studied Graphic Design at George Brown College and, upon leaving, pursued a career in the graphic arts. Encouraged by his success at a number of shows, Ward decided to leave the security of the design world to paint full time. Honour and prestige quickly followed. David's paintings have been accepted by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum `Birds of Art' International Exhibition. In 1992, David was one of three Canadian artists invited to exhibit at the Lotte Gallery in Seoul, South Korea. It was the first time artist from North America were extended this privilege. |
